We are thrilled to be part of this year’s Basel Social Club: The Office, featuring new works by Swiss artist Alexandra Navratil (*1978, lives and works in Zurich). The three wall works Remainder (Figure 1–3) draw on the aesthetic language of corporate organizational charts. Using CNC milling technology, the structures are carved from wooden panels and rendered in a Kool-Aid-inspired color palette. The hypnotic colors and mandala-like patterns point to an uneasy convergence: the visual grammar of corporate hierarchy bleeding into the spiritual aspirations of New Age thinking. 

Coincidingly, the video The Night Side, 2016, by @alexandranavratil will be on view at the Tinguely Museum as part of the exhibition Labouring Bodies, curated by Sandra Beate Reimann, opening on June 9.
